This is the latest instalment in our series of higher end bad credit contract phones that are available at the moment. The Nokia N8 is causing quite a stir because it has some seriously impressive features contained within its compact frame.

Firstly, for those of you who are interested in photography, the Nokia N8 comes with a 12 mega pixel camera and an integrated Xenon flash giving you all the tools to take pictures in a variety of conditions. Nokia has decided to go for Carl Zeiss optics as well, which means that picture quality is top notch. Essentially, what you have with the N8 is a phone capable of HD photography and video.

Many pundits would argue that it is not worth having a digital camera resolution above 12 megapixels. In fact, professional photographers have referred to this as being the ‘sweet spot’ in terms of resolutions as it gives them serious levels of detail without becoming too difficult to handle in terms of file sizes.

Since the N8 handles high resolution it is logical that it also provides an HDMI port, so it can be connected to any device with an HDMI input to display the images/video at 720p, such as a plasma screen or projector. To cap it off Nokia has also incorporated Dolby surround sound.

Returning to the theme of storage as these images and videos are going to take up a fair amount of memory space, the N8 has the capability of supporting 48Gb of memory. This is made up of 16Gb internal plus 32Gb expandable. You can also connect USB storage.

Once again a new phone raises the level of features to a new high – it makes you wonder what we will be seeing in the new year when the next generation of mobiles hits the market.
